Since I sent out my email last week about my training scheduled for November, I have had several requests asking if I would consider running the training as a daytime event for staff to attend, especially for LSA’s.
With this in mind I am pleased to announce that as well as the evening training, I am now offering a daytime training running 1.30-3.30.
The schedule and dates will be the same for both sets of training ,so you, your staff or parents can decide on whether to attend the daytime or evening events.
I also have had several enquires specifically about setting up a work system training/workshop .This is an amazing opportunity for staff/parents to get practical guidance and instruction on how to set up and use a work system. I have been using this system for years and can’t speak highly enough of the positive outcomes for pupils on the Spectrum. This would only apply to pre-school/primary school age pupils. So, I am adding this as an optional extra day.
Course Outline(Suitable for all settings)
Wk.1. Autism General Awareness and Understanding...Thurs.9th November.(1.30-3.30 OR 6.30-8.30)
Wk.2.Understanding Behaviour ...What's behind it within the Spectrum...Thurs.16th November. (1.30-3.30 OR 6.30-8.30)
Wk.3.Sensory Processing within the Spectrum...Thurs.23rd November. (1.30-3.30 OR 6.30-8.30)
Wk.4.The Importance of Communication and Visuals within the Spectrum...Thurs.30th November. (1.30-3.30 OR 6.30-8.30)
OPTIONAL EXTRA DAY(Suitable for Pre-school/Primary school setting)
WK.5 Setting up and using a work system practical workshop…Thursday 7th December(Possibly 1.30-3.30 only but if parents/staff prefer an evening session let me know and I will try my best to arrange that )
This extra day would cost an additional £50 and would include the visuals required to set this up.
Venue: The Elk complex ,Toomebridge
Wk. 1-4 can be booked either 1.30-3.30 OR 6.30-8.30pm(Please indicate which session you wish to attend)
The 4-week course is altogether £150 per delegate. If you wish to book the work system training this will cost an additional £50pp,so £200 in total)
Places are limited.
A number of schools have also asked about the possibility of booking individual school training sessions and of course I can offer this and work around your specific needs, so just drop me an email.
