Back to School!

19th Aug 2025
It's almost time for the new school year to start!  There are lots of things you can do to help prepare your child for the transition back to the routine.
1. Start a countdown.
This is best done with a week to 10 days left of the holidays.
There are lots of ways to do it - you can just use your home calendar, or print out one from the links attached.

2. Photos of school
You will get some photos of the classroom and staff your child is going to be in.  Use Seesaw to visually communicate the information to them.
3. Social Story
Reading the story will help prepare your child for the transition.  It's simple, but very effective.
4. Ask for help
If you are concerned, please contact the class teacher via Seesaw.  The Speech and Language Therapy Team are also on stand-by to help with communicating change to our pupils.
5. Induction Days
We look forward to seeing you bring your child for a visit at the end of August.  The dates and times will be sent to you via Seesaw from the teachers.  These days allow us to find out lots of information from you that will ease your child into school and promote really good home/school links.
Please see some of these ideas on the links attached.
