Creating a calm corner

29th Jun 2021
Calm corners are an excellent way of creating a quiet space in which a child or young person can access resources and activities which help them to calm and regulate their emotions.  It is important that the calm corner is able to be easily individualised to meet the varying needs of each person.  Some will prefer a quiet space with no activities or calming objects, while others will need resources to regulate themselves.  This list provides ideas which could be placed in a box or cupboard beside the calm corner and taken out as required.    Please visit this link to download the full resource.   https://www.middletownautism.com/files/shares/Resources/Thurs_24_June_Ideas_for_creating_a_calm_corner_-_bullet_points.pdf
