Dear Parents,
Following the news that the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will be held on Monday 19th September, this day has now been deemed a Bank Holiday. School will therefore be closed on Monday 19th September and will re-open on Tuesday 20th September.
As one of the most recent recipients of an Award from the Queen in her Birthday Honours List this year (even though I have yet to be called to London for the presentation of the MBE), I have been invited to attend the State Funeral, to represent Education throughout Northern Ireland.
